THE KIND of myths we'll discuss tonight are those that greatly affect our society in America.

2. INFLUENCES OF MYTHS:

a) Everyone has an agenda.

b) Mix a little truth in with the myth to make it appear as all truth.

c) Manage knowledge and you control power.

d) Generates hate, fear, anger, disrespect, prejudice, negative stereotypes to mask motives.

e) Keeping people ignorant and co-dependent on others is a modern day form of control.

4. Determine if “hate, fear, disrespect” is a by product of the presentation.

5. Verify: Does it make you “free” or reliant upon someone else?
